Sarawak election: PKR jeopardising Pakatan Harapan's chances of winning?
Sarawak DAP claims that their ally, Sarawak PKR, is not letting go some of the seats that have promised to the former.
PKR is jeopardising Pakatan Harapan's chances of winning seats at the upcoming Sarawak election, the state DAP claims.
Sarawak DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen said the two parties were tussling for seats because PKR failed to convince some of its members to give up their seats to DAP, as agreed upon at the pact's national-level discussions.
"PKR should honour decisions made at the national-level discussions. Them failing to persuade some of their members to give up their seats is a problem for Pakatan Harapan," he said.
He said DAP had to give up some of their seats to PKR, including its most 'winnable' one -- the Batu Kitang seat.

He said according to statistics, the Opposition has a huge opportunity to win Batu Kitang, since the seat was carved out from the Kota Sentosa and Batu Kawah state seats -- both won by DAP.
"If we observe this matter closely, the Batu Kitang seat should have been given to DAP instead of PKR," said Chong.
He reiterated that PKR must respect the decisions made by the national Pakatan Harapan if they want to win the state election.
Recently, Sarawak PKR chairman Baru Bian said the state PKR will contest 40 seats in the May 7 polls.
