Selangor PAS commissioner Iskandar Abdul Samad today denied that was invited to have an audience with the Selangor Sultan Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, as reported by a news portal.
Iskandar told Astro AWANI that he does not have the foggiest clue about the matter.
“I don’t know how they got the news. You have to ask them. I was not invited invited to have an audience with the Selangor Sultan. I did not receive any letter from the Selangor palace.
“In fact, I will be busy with my programmes and activities today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow,” he told when contacted Astro AWANI.
The portal’s report, which quoted sources, said that three Selangor executive councillors from PAS have been invited to have an audience with the state ruler from today until Wednesday, believed to be linked to the Menteri Besar crisis in the state.
Apart from Iskandar, it was reported that PAS exco members Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi and Sallehin Mukhyi were also invited to have an audience with the Selangor Sultan.
PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang named the trio as the party’s as candidates for the MB post in his first letter to the Selangor palace on September 2 but later, retained Iskandar's name and named two other PKR assemblymen.
On Aug 26, the Selangor Sultan had asked for more than two names from each Pakatan Rakyat (PR) parties as the possible Selangor Menteri Besar candidate.
