The Selangor PAS has denied an allegation that three of its state executive council members (excos) would be terminated from the Selangor government administration.
The Selangor Pas has denied an allegation that three of its state executive council members (excos) would be terminated from the Selangor government administration following the decision of the party''s Syura Council to end ties with Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).
Selangor PasCommissioner Sallehen Mukhyi said the service of the three exco members would be retained until the dissolution of the State Assembly, as had been stated by Selangor Menteri Besar.
"At a meeting with the menteri besar yesterday, there was no mention at all about terminating the three excos or to ask them to step down.
"It is all rumours. Our stand is to remain because it is a mandate given by the people in the previous general election," he said.
Sallehen said this when asked on media reports today that the Selangor Menteri Besar would end the services of all the Pas Excos in the state government following a decision at the 63rd Pas Muktamar to end the party''s cooperation with PKR.
The three PAS excos in the state government are Datuk Dr Ahmad Yunus Hair, who is the State Education, Human Capital Development, Science, Technology and Innovation Committee chairman, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad (Housing, Building Management and Urban Living portfolio) and Zaidy Abdul Talib (Infrastructure and Public Amenities, Agriculture Modernisation and Agro-based Industry portfolio). - BERNAMA
