Selangor PAS has urged Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and DAP to heed the command of the Sultan of Selangor on the nomination of the new menteri besar.
Its secretary, Mohd Khairuddin Othman said Selangor PAS is sad that Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah is angry with PKR and DAP for submitting only one name for Selangor menteri besar.
"Selangor PAS pleads with our partners to heed the command of the sultan because we are not going anywhere by opposing the monarchy institution," he said in a statement, here today.
Private Secretary to the Sultan of Selangor, Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani said PKR and DAP who only submitted one name was deemed to disobey the sultan who wanted more than two names.
On August 27, the Sultan of Selangor commanded Pakatan Rakyat parties PKR, PAS and DAP to submit more than two names as candidates for Selangor menteri besar.
He said this after postponing to accept the resignation of Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim until the process of appointing a new menteri besar is completed.
Only PAS heed the command of the Sultan of Selangor by submitting a list containing three names of candidates for menteri besar.
Mohd Khairuddin said Selangor PAS will obey the command of the Sultan of Selangor for the benefit of people in the state.
"We are confident that the crisis (Selangor political crisis) can be resolved quickly.
"The longer this crisis drag on, the harder it will be for the people," he added.
