Selangor UMNO will focus more on outlining a 'micromanage' system as among the strategies to recapture Selangor from the opposition in the 14th General Election (GE14).
Its chairman, Tan Sri Noh Omar said the mobilisation of the Barisan Nasional (BN) machinery that saw a big win in the Sungai Besar by-election last year would be used again.
"We have learnt a lot from our previous mistakes, in which we had overlooked certain factors, such as a disorganised machinery which resulted in expected BN voters to not go out to vote.
"Selangor BN now has a more effective system and is ready to face the opposition, regardless of how many parties are involved," he told reporters after launching the 2017 Karangkraf Carnival here Saturday.
Noh said, although the weakness of the opposition parties could secure BN's win, they (Selangor BN) would not solely depend on that factor and would continue to fortify its machinery. -- Bernama
