Former Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi advised UMNO members and leaders at all levels to stop internal fights and bickering within the party.
He said if the internal conflicts continue, it will only affect the party especially in facing the 14th general election.
"See what they are doing, see the best. Think of the right things, then it will be easy," he said when met at the Paralimpic Malaysia Council's Aidilfitri open house.
"But if everyone just wants to fight, then what will become of us?," he questioned.
Abdullah was commenting on UMNO's future in facing the 14th general election as the party faces several issues involving leaders who were suspended, sacked and leaders who chose to quit the party.
He said the polemics in UMNO will continue if the members do not work together and stay as a team.
"We see here, if they do not want to work together, then it will be difficult," he added.
UMNO Supreme Council member had on June 24, sacked its deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and former Kedah menteri besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.

Following his decision, several UMNO leaders in Sabah had also followed his footstep.
