Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman has dismissed talks that the state government is in chaos as mere rumours.
He said UMNO is still in control of the state and added that Terengganu is politically stable.
He slammed the irresponsible actions by certain quarters to portray a negative picture of the state.
“We are still holding seats 17-14-1 for now. Even if something happens, say in Kijai state seat, we still have 16 seats. We still form the government,” he said at an event here last night.
He said the state government is always open to criticism from any parties to improve its delivery system and provide the best service to the people.
He also stressed that the state is now focused on helping the people especially in today’s challenging times.
“I think right now there are too much of provocation. I think we don’t have to bother about such issues as we have to move forward,” he said.
“All that has happened lately is merely a storm in teacup,” he added.
On March 8, Kijal assemblyman Datuk Seri Ahmad Said moved a vote of no confidence against Ahmad Razif at the State Assembly sitting.
The Kijal assemblyman's action shocked both the BN and opposition assemblymen because they did not expect the action could be taken when taking part in the debate session on the address of the Sultan of Terengganu Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin.
