Tun M should respect PAC decision - Ismail Sabri

Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been urged to respect the decision of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) regarding the investigation on 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said Tun Dr Mahathir should accept and respect the decision made by the PAC as was the practice during his administration.

"I hope Tun M respects the findings of the PAC. During Tun's era in the case of (Datuk Seri) Anwar Ibrahim before, when Anwar was jailed by the court and the PKR had said that the court did not make the right decision, Tun M had said that we must respect the decision of the court.

"So, if Tun wanted Anwar's case to be resolved when the court had made the decision, likewise, we also want the people including Tun to consider this case as resolved because the PAC had made a decision," he said.

He disclosed this to reporters when asked to comment on the action by Tun Mahathir concerning the PAC decision after making a visit to the 21st Century Sustainable Village Economic Project at Kampung Tok Dor, here today.

Also present were Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Jailani Johari, who is also the Member of Parliament for Hulu Terengganu, and the State Exco for Education, Science, Technology and Special Functions Ghazali Taib, who is also the State Assemblyman for Ajil.
