KUALA LUMPUR: Two members of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) led by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has left the party and expressed support for Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
MalaysiaNow portal reported that Julau Member of Parliament Larry Sng from Sarawak and Tebrau Member of Parliament Steven Choong were now independent Members of Parliament, ending rumours about their loyalty to Anwar.
It happened a day after three State Assemblymen (ADUN) from Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) were reported to have joined PKR.
Sng and Choong expressed their support for Muhyiddin in a meeting at the Prime Minister's Office this morning.
On Saturday, PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail slammed the actions of those who allegedly threatened the opposition MPs to gain support.
But at the same time, PKR also accepted the participation of their allied party representatives in Pakatan Harapan (PH).
