UMNO members have been urged to remain united in facing current issues as the party celebrates its 69th anniversary tomorrow.
UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Razali Ibrahim said this was the most suitable time for the 3.5 million members to look back and set aside negative elements that can disrupt unity in the party.
"All party members should look at the history of UMNO as an inspiration which united the Malays," he told reporters after closing a RELA shooting competition at Bukit Kangkar shooting range in Ledang here, today.
Razali who is also Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department said the UMNO soul and spirit should be re-lived to remain relevant at all times.
"First UMNO president Datuk Onn Jaafar urged the Malays to unite and we must use his words as a talisman," he added.
