UMNO members should not be influenced by opposition agenda - Ahmad Razif

UMNO members should not be easily influenced by the propaganda and agenda of certain parties that are out to split the unity and harmony of the party.

Terengganu UMNO Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman said these groups have in the past been attempting to run down UMNO but have failed.

"They tried several times to discredit the party but failed and this time they almost succeeded in creating turmoil with people from the inside.

Look, there are divisions, Wanita, Youth and Puteri wings which did not support and were in fact against the party president (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak)," he said.

He was speaking at the opening of the Marang UMNO division meeting at the Marang District Council hall in Kampung Paya here Friday.

The opening ceremony was officiated by UMNO vice-president and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Marang UMNO division head A. Latif Awang.
