UMNO, other BN components dependent on one another - PM Najib
DATUK SERI NAJIB: We are UMNO members not just in name and membership number; we are a huge family and misunderstandings and differences of opinion exist in any family.
Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Najib Razak has likened UMNO and the other BN component parties to the Malay proverb 'bagai aur dengan tebing', meaning one is dependent on the other.
The Prime Minister said that while UMNO struggles for the interests of the Malays and Bumiputeras, it also respects the struggles and interests of all the other communities.
"We invite all component parties to confer because our objectives are similar, which is to mould a successful people and country, Malaysia," he said in a post tonight on his official Facebook account.
Datuk Seri Najib, who is also the UMNO president, said the misunderstanding in UMNO had been successfully addressed and resolved in a good way.
"We are UMNO members not just in name and membership number; we are a huge family and misunderstandings and differences of opinion exist in any family.
