Internal problems have not stopped UMNO from drawing new blood with membership rising to 3,577,719 until yesterday with 21,653 branches nationwide.
Its secretary-general, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said UMNO has not only provided inspiration to the Malays but also to Malaysians in general.
"Unity in diversity has flourished despite UMNO being based on religion, race and country. The National Transformation Plan (TN50) is for future generations," he said while tabling a report at UMNO General Assembly 2016 at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), here today.
Some 2,729 delegates attended the general assembly which was opened by UMNO president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
