The UMNO Youth will remain with its stand to continue to submit all the motions forwarded at all divisional youth delegates meeting to the party president, Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
Its chief, Khairy Jamaluddin said that there was no need for any quarters including UMNO Secretary General, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor to censor the motions brought as it represented the voice of the grassroots.
“We will present it to the President (UMNO) later during our meeting with the President. I think there is no need to censor as these motions come from the divisions,” said Khairy during a press conference held after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between XMT Technologies with 3Roam and Damm Cellular Systems here today.
He will however send the motions to the UMNO headquarters which is part of the management procedure.
“We only want to present it to the President. These are the views and suggestions made by the grassroots and I see that there is no need for the proposals to be sent to anyone.
“We will definitely send it to UMNO headquarters as part of the management procedure. I do not see anything which needs to be censored,” said Khairy.
Khairy on Monday said that he would submit all the motions forwarded at all divisional youth delegates meeting to Najib and Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Zahid Hamidi who is also UMNO vice president.
Normally, the motions proposed by each section will be scrutinized by the UMNO Secretary General before being taken to the Supreme Council meeting.
