UMNO2015: Government urged to take action against errant traders - Delegate

The government is urged to take action against errant traders who increase their prices at unreasonable rates.

Kelantan UMNO delegate, Datuk Abdullah Mat Yassim said irresponsible actions by these traders is seen as a burden to the rakyat.

“When the price of fuel increases, the price of goods also increase. But when the price of fuel reduces, the prices of goods do not.

“So I would like to request for the Minister of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism to take action against these irresponsible traders and to ensure enforcement in order to reduce the burden faced by the rakyat.

“This is because the rakyat will question whose fault is this?And they will begin pointing fingers,” said Abdullah.

He said this during the debate on the motion on the economy on the third day of the UMNO General Assembly 2015 at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here today.

Abdullah at the same time acknowledged those living in rural areas were also burdened by the increase in the cost of living.
