UMNO is now faced by issues and challenges in restoring the faith of Malays to remain relevant in the country.
Deputy President, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said, all party members must accept the fact to seek an amicable solution for the issue. He also said the party will be able to survive the crisis it is currently facing if its members remain united.
“The situation must be a lesson especially in a concerted effort to save the party. We can’t be in denial, we must admit that UMNO is faced by challenges that are at an alarming state,” said Hishammuddin at the closing ceremony of Pemerkasaan Agenda Ummah convention at the Putra World Trade Centre, here today.
Alor Setar UMNO chief, Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah had earlier urged UMNO members to hold their faiths and beliefs in the leadership of Datuk Seri Najib Razak to overcome challenges within the party.
He said that faith and beliefs towards Najib, who is also the UMNO President is similar to the support shown by other party members when UMNO was helmed by previous presidents.
UMNO’s strength must be restored with concerted effort within the party.
“UMNO’s resolutions will bring with it a new wave that is seen as a wake-up call and guideline for the younger generation about the pillar of the party that has been responsible in championing the future of the Malays in the country.
