KUALA LUMPUR: No snap general elections until the end of the current Parliament’s term and the people can have a happy holiday with their families, are among the needs of society that needs to be given attention by politicians.
That is among the list of 10 of people's wishes stated by DAP National Organising Secretary, Anthony Loke Siew Fook, in his Facebook post last night in his call for politicians to understand the people's wishes.
"As politicians, the ability to listen to the pulse of the people is a necessity for us to make the right decisions.
"If all political leaders try to understand what the people want, then good decisions for the country and the people will be implemented," he said in the post entitled 'What more do the people want?'.
Meanwhile, Loke said that the people also want the country to remain peaceful and stable besides government policies and programs to help those who are affected or lost their source of income, are implemented.
Apart from that, he added, are government policies and programs that can create employment opportunities and more effective health measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Community life and normal social activities that can be restored as soon as possible; reduce political quarrels on social media and children can go to school as usual without fear, were also included in the wish list.
