The Yang di-Pertuan Agong conclude session and interview with 221 Members of Parliament

The remaining 132 Members of Parliament have met with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at the Palace at 4.20pm today.
It concludes His Majesty Al-Sultan Abdullah’s session and interview with 221 Members of Parliament on Wednesday.
The second session involved Members of Parliament from the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (Bersatu); People's Justice Party (PKR); Democratic Action Party (DAP); Sabah Heritage Party (Warisan) and National Trust Party (Amanah).
Members of Parliament from DAP were the last delegation to leave after spending three hours in the National Palace.
While the first session on Tuesday involved 90 Members of Parliament from the Barisan Nasional (BN); Malaysian Islamic Party (Pas); Sarawak Parties Coalition (GPS); and the Sabah People's Party.
The inaugural session and interview with individual Members of Parliament at the National Palace began at 10am this morning, witnessed by Chief Secretary to the Government, Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki Ali.
These interview sessions with His Majesty Al-Sultan Abdullah were held following the unexpected decision by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad on Monday to resign as the 7th Prime Minister and as Chairman of Bersatu.
His Majesty Al-Sultan Abdullah later appointed Tun Dr Mahathir as Interim Prime Minister, pending the appointment of a new prime minister after receiving his resignation letter.
