Zaid to join GHB?

Former law minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim might make a comeback in politics and is most likely to join Gerakan Harapan Baru (GHB).

Zaid who confirmed to The Sun that he is planning to return to active politics, said if the GHB is willing to take him, he wants to contest the Kota Baru seat.

Zaid was the MP of the seat from 2004 to 2008.

“GHB are my friends. However, they are not yet a party so we’ll wait for another week to see if I will join them,” he told the daily.

Zaid's recent blog posting titled I Had A Dream, prompted talks that the former UMNO leader might make a political comeback.

"I had a dream that I won a parliamentary seat in the General Election as a candidate under the banner of Gerakan Harapan Baru, which then appointed me Minister of Law and Attorney-General. I dreamt that I was able to do a complete revision of the laws of our nation and at the same time, haul up all the crooks and their accomplices to account before a court of law for the criminal acts they had committed," Zaid wrote on his blog.
