Zambry advises losers to stay out of GE14

Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates and component parties that did dismally in general elections should not feature in the 14th General Election (GE14), said Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
The Perak BN chief issued the advice following lobbying by some losers who want to be candidates in GE14.
"They might be holding party posts like division chiefs. If they had been nominated twice and lost both times, no need to ask to be nominated again," Zambry, who is also the Menteri Besar of Perak, told reporters after chairing the weekly state executive council meeting here Wednesday.
However, he qualified his advice by saying that the final decision lay with BN chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
He added that Perak BN already had a shortlist of names and was currently in the process of evaluating them towards ensuring only those with the best potential were considered.
GE14 has to be called by June next year.
