Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir did not say that Penang Chief Minister and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng wanted to create conflict between religions.

Zambry only said that it was shallow of Guan Eng to allege that UMNO was anti-religion just because of the ties between Malaysia and China.

A statement issued by the Press Secretary Unit of the Perak Menteri Besar's Office on Saturday said Zambry made the statement in a press conference in Lumut.

The statement followed a Bernama news report titled "Lim Guan Eng Wants To Create Conflict Between Religions" which was transmitted earlier.
