Fourteen paralympic archers will compete in the World Ranking Archery Championships in Bangkok, Thailand from March 17 to 23.

"For the first time, we are sending the most number of archers for any archery competition. Our main objective is to classify national archers by collecting world ranking points," National Sports Council (NSC) Paralympics Division director Mohd Safrushahar Yusoff told Bernama, today.

He said participation in the championships was important for national archers to be classified through world ranking points and also gain valuable exposure, since most of them are inexperienced.

Safrushahar said of the 14 archers, only four were elite National paralympic archers.
