Fourteen amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) warriors clinched their spots at Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts (MIMMA) Fighting Championship's final round scheduled next month.
They each have beaten their opponents at the tournament's semi-final round held at the Paradigm Mall in Petaling Jaya on Sunday.
Mohd Aiman Raziz Affindi from Negeri Sembilan triumphed in the flyweight category defeating his opponent, Quay Chen Wee from Selangor in the first round.
During the fight, the 19-year-old boxer and grappler who fights out of Klinch MMA, took Chen to ground and submitted him through an armbar.
Aiman when met by Astro AWANI after the fight, said he was extremely happy to win as he had worked so hard to prepare for the tournament.
"I feel really good... I've been training a lot, I've been cutting weight a lot. I've been working so hard for this competition... So yeah I feel good," he told, adding that it was his intention to quickly end the fight.

Meanwhile, Tune Talk chief executive officer (CEO) Jason Lo said that the competition has inroduced many new talents and seemed way better equipped.
"This year we have people coming from outside to teach us things like jiu-jitsu, judo. We have a lot of gyms that actually teach MMA to specifically prepare them for the Malaysian Invasion," he said.
Profesional MMA fighter, Peter Davis agreed on Jason's opinion, saying that the fighters for this season have better fighting skills.
"And this year the competition is much more wild... people have higher skill levels, better wrestling skills, better jiu-jitsu and better striking skills.
"So it's really fantastic to see the Malaysians come out in force and really giving a good show," said the fighter from ONE Fighting Championship (ONE FC).
MIMMA Season 2 was organised by Tune Talk and supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
MIMMA is the brainchild of Jason Lo with the Minister of Youth & Sports, Khairy Jamaluddin in a move to develop MMA for Malaysian martial artists and fans.
