Asian Games: Najib congratulates Nicol for second gold medal, Wee Wern for silver
Nicol's five gold medals also mean she is the most successful squash player in the Asian Games history.
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today congratulated Malaysia's squash queen, Datuk Nicol Ann David, for clinching the second gold medal for the country at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea.
Nicol won her fifth individual gold in five Asian Games campaigns since 1998 after beating team mate Low Wee Wern 9-11, 11-6, 11-5 and 12-10 in the women's squash individual final, Tuesday.
The prime minister in his latest tweet also congratulated Wee Wern after winning the second silver medal for the Malaysian contingent.
"Well done Datuk Nicol David and Low Wee Wern for giving us gold and silver medals. It's truly a remarkable achievement. #Incheon2014," Najib said.
Nicol's five gold medals also mean she is the most successful squash player in the Asian Games history.
