Badri has no issues with Rajagobal

Kelantan skipper Badri Radzi, who was not called up for national duty, says he has no problems with national coach Datuk K Rajagobal's decision.

"I do not have any problem with Rajagobal. The decision is entirely up to him. However, I hope he (Rajagobal) can pick only the best players available after watching them in action," he told reporters after a training session at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium here on Wednesday.

Badri's absence from the 24-member squad that will see action in the 2015 Asian Cup Qualifiers against Qatar in Doha on Feb 6, had raised concern among football fans in the country, especially after several first choice players in the team were floored by injuries.

Malaysia face Iraq in a friendly match on Friday.

Newspaper reports claimed that Rajagobal should have given Badri at least an opportunity to be among those called up for training.

Rajagobal was reported as saying fans can only voice out their views but that every coach has his own way of looking at players to be selected.

Meanwhile, Kelantan coach Bojan Hodak said though Badri was a creative player who is in a class of his own, the decision of the national coach must be given due respect.

"For me Badri is a good player. He has creativity (but) every coach has his own style and maybe he did not suit the set up. People are talking too much about this. Rajagobal has different style and you must respect it," he said.
