BAM to bring in 6 new players

Six new players from a local club will be brought into the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) fold soon.
Its president Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria said the six players would help strengthen the national mixed doubles and men's doubles teams.
"We will make an announcement on the six players within a week or two. We are not revealing their names yet as the discussions are still ongoing. The important thing is their performance are very good at this point. They will be absorbed into the relevant sections," he said.
Mohamad Norza also explained that the decision to include the six players in BAM was agreed upon by its Coaching and Training.
Meanwhile, Mohamad Norza said there was no change in the coaching structure following the resignation of technical director Morten Frost Hansen.

All head coaches had been informed that that the 'honeymoon' period for the national badminton squad was over, he said.
