Barca arrives in Malaysia
THE Barcelona team has arrived amid confusion and disappointment amongst the fans and media who were expecting to greet them with a warm welcome. Fans, including official media were denied access into the Bunga Raya complex by airport security and the Barca team manager. This was despite the clearance given to them by the organisers.
Some media members were at the KLIA airport a full three hours before the team’s arrival. The diehard fans however headed straight for the team hotel in Bandar Utama hoping to get a better reception – from the VISITORS – the next time round!
The La Champions Airbus A340 touched down shortly before 2pm and taxied to the Bunga Raya terminal for their VIP arrival.
Undoubted star of the team was Messi, Neymar, Pique and their manager Gerardo Martino. Defender Carlos Puyol who is injured was a notable absentee.
Tickets to watch them train at the Shah Alam stadium this evening at 7pm costs RM26. Match day ticket prices range from RM98 to RM709.
