BOBO “The Panther” Sacko is keen to make his ONE Championship debut at ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH unforgettable.
The WPMF Muay Thai World Champion challenges “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai in a three-round ONE Super Series bantamweight Muay Thai battle in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Friday, 6 September.
Ahead of the contest, the martial artist revealed that he is only concerned about snagging a victory, regardless of how it comes.
“I don’t expect a knockout or a victory by decision, I don’t think about that,” the Frenchman revealed.
“In a perfect world, we will give the fans a true war, and I will win. Sometimes Earth seems to be a perfect world when the stars are aligned!”
“I will bring my heart, that’s the main thing, then everything else follows.”
Fans are in for a treat as Sacko can out-strike his opponents to a decision or finish them with powerful leg kicks.
He boasts an incredible 72-5-1 record, having defeated some all-time greats including ONE’s Rafi Bohic, Liam “The Hitman” Harrison, and Petchboonchu FA Group.
“The first thing I said when my manager and coach told me [about this match] was, ‘Let’s do this!’” the Teambilos Muaythai Gym representative shared.
“Combat sports and martial arts are about challenges. You can’t hide from those challenges and pretend to be a champ, or let people think you are one. You have to take those challenges and show what you have inside your stomach – like we say in France, ‘Show your guts.’”
“The Panther” knows he will have a tough task in front of him on 6 September, and he knows he cannot let this chance go to waste.
“You have only one chance to give a good first impression,” the 31-year-old Muay Thai practitioner said.
“Signing for ONE Championship is like a [reward] for all my hard work - and the sign of a new journey that starts now.”
Equipped with experience and skills, Sacko’s desire to score a winning debut in ONE’s first-ever all-ONE Super Series card could very well unfold.
