Being born without limbs below the hips has not discouraged Muhammad Haziq Samrat, 22, from craving for extreme sports and activities, just others his age.
The recipient of the International Islamic College (IIC) Inspiration Award loves, among others, surfboarding or longboarding, swimming, 'wall climbing' and other activities, using the power of his hand.
"As a hobby, I carry out a lot of endurance activities... using my hands is an advantage to me," said the Disability Award recipient at the National Level Maulidur Rasul Celebration 1430 Hijrah.
Born into a large family, the youngest of seven children with only a sister was constantly active since childhood.
In fact, his parents, Samrat Mekah, 70, and Narimawati Ab Jalil, 62, are very supportive of him pursuing his extreme activities.
