SEA Games Chef-de-mission (CDM) Datuk Marina Chin is still waiting for an official report from the relevant officials regarding athletes who broke the 11.30pm curfew at the National training camp.
Marina Chin said whether any action will be immediately taken or given a warning would be decided after discussing the issue with the respective associations.
"Action will be based on what the offence was and recomendation from the association. Normally for first time offenders we might give them a warning but if the offence is repeated, severe disciplinary action will be taken.
"I have not received the report yet, therefore, it will not be fair for me to comment," she told reporters after visiting the waterski team in training at the Putrajaya Water Complex, here on Tuesday.
Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) secretary-general Datuk Low Beng Choo had revealed that two athletes - one from futsal and another from badminton - had gone out and returned late to the Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, which is the official venue for SEA Games athletes.
About 700 SEA Games athletes have checked into the hotel for their final phase of training before the SEA Games scheduled from Aug 19-30 and athletes are not allowed to go out or return after 11.30pm.
Marina who herself is a former National athlete who had won gold medals in the SEA Games, reminded athletes to maintain discipline at all times and follow the guidelines and regulations set.
"Discipline is very important for athletes, especially so when the SEA Games is only a few days away and the fact that the country's hopes of winning the overall title rests on the shoulders of athletes. They need to have enough rest and remain focused on the task ahead," she said.
Marina said the waterski team preparing for the SEA Games have been training very hard and commited to winning as many gold medals.
