Cheong continues dismal performance in fifth leg of World Diving Series

National diver Cheong Jun Hoong continued her dismal performance in the fifth leg of the 2014 World Diving Series held at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre in Canada.
The 24-year old Perak-born diver, who finished fourth in the women's 3m synchronized springboard diving with Ng Yan Yee on Saturday, only managed to finish in last position although only six divers competed in the individual event, with 318.40 points, early today.
Chinese divers continued their domination in the events after claiming the top two spots with Shi Tingmao taking the gold medal after scoring 398.45 points while her teammate Wang Han secured the silver after accumulating 385.05 points.
Canadian diver Jennifer Abel had to settle for the bronze medal with 356.15 points.
Malaysian diving queen Pandelela Rinong who finished fourth with her partner Leong Mun Yee in the women's 10m synchronized platform on Friday, will be competing in the individual event, later today.
