Chong Wei books a spot in last eight of Korea Open
World No 1 shuttler Lee Chong Wei continued his fine run in the Victor Korea Open SuperSeries Premier by booking a spot into the final eight.
The London Olympics silver medallist hardly broke a sweat in the first set to beat Marc Zwiebler 21-11 but was given a good fight by the German in the second set only to win 21-19 in match that lasted 34 minutes.
Chong Wei is expected to face minimal problems playing Taiwan's Hu Yun in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
Hu was earlier streched 16-21, 21-13, 21-17 by India's Kashyap Parupalli to earn a date with Chong Wei.
Also in the final eight of the men's singles event are Indonesian Sony Dwi Kuncoro, Japan's Takuma Ueda and China's Du Pengyu.
