Cigarettes, knives and firecrackers as well as snacks such as melon seeds and peanuts are not allowed to be brought into the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil during the 2017 Kuala Lumpur SEA Games opening ceremony on Aug 19.
Spectators are reminded not to bring other prohibited items such as air horns, scissors, umbrellas, helmets as well as canned and bottled drinks, said the Malaysian SEA Games Organising Committee (MASOC) in a statement Sunday.
"Malaysia Stadium Corporation has the right to confiscate all banned items from being brought into the stadium," it said.
MASOC added spectators in possession of the prohibited items maybe denied entry into the stadium.
"Stadium authorities will be conducting security inspection at all entrances during the occasion," said the statement.
Spectators are also reminded to maintain public order and avoid unruly behaviour in the stadium.
