FA Cup final: Police to take stern action against those selling fake tickets

Police have reiterated that they will take stern action against any quarters selling or using fake tickets and VIP pass at the FA Cup final match at Shah Alam Stadium.

Shah Alam district police chief ACP Shafien Mamat said Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) would be placing scanning machines at the main entrances of the stadium to detect fake tickets.

"FMLLP has improved the quality of tickets to prevent the selling of fake tickets. Police have set up special task forceto be on duty on the match day in order to cub the activity," he told a press conference here today.

Shafien advised the supporters of both teams not to use drone during the match as it would affect the concentration of the spectators.

A total of 2,315 enforcement officers including 2,005 police officers and members would be on duty during the final match.

The stadium would be opened to public as early as 4pm and the supporters of both teams were advised to enter the stadium early according to the designated entrance.

Shafien said the police, in collaboration with FMLLP, would also provide three dedicated lanes at all entrances, namely for children, those carrying bags and without bags.

A total of 72,000 spectators are expected to attend the final match between Kedah and Pahang.
