FIFA ranking: Malaysia drop one place to 158th
The monthly ranking involves 206 countries.
Malaysia dropped to 158th place in the latest Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) ranking.
According to the FIFA's official website www.fifa.com, the Harimau Malaya squad's fall was due to a three-rung climb by Mauritius to 157th place.
With this, Malaysia remain in the company of Sudan who are in 155th place, Papua New Guinea (156), Moldova (159), Singapore (160) and Chinese Taipei (161).
Iran remained as the Asian leader after being ranked 28th in the world, followed by South Korea (43), Japan (44) and Australia (50).
Meanwhile, no changes were recorded among the top 20 teams in the rankings this month, with Brazil topping the table ahead of neighbour Argentina followed by Germany and Chile.
Madagascar were tops in rising in the ranks, climbing up nine places to 111th spot while Malawi saw the biggest drop, down 14 rungs to 114th place.
The monthly ranking involves 206 countries.
