FIFA rankings: Malaysia maintains 167th spot

The lack of competitions or class A international friendly matches saw Malaysia remain in 167th position for the second consecutive month when FIFA released the latest list.
In the latest FIFA ranking list, Malaysia who had climbed from 173rd to 167th last month remained in the same position for the month of August.
Malaysia also remained in 31st spot in the list of 46 Asian countries.
Thailand top the list among ASEAN countries in 120th spot, the Philippines (134), Vietnam (138) while Singapore and Myanmar are tied on 158th spot.
The list released today also saw the top three teams in the world, managing to retain their positions.
Copa America 2016 runner-up Argentina are the top ranked team in the world with 1,585 points followed by Belgium with 1,401 while Colombia are third with 1,331 points.
The list comprise 209 countries.
