Former national singles player Ewe Hock supports Chong Wei

If only national badminton player Datuk Lee Chong Wei has chosen Lin Dans smart approach in selecting championships, the doping scandal would not have happened.
The doping scandal would not have occured should national shuttler Datuk Lee Chong Wei chosen his tournaments carefully, as done by China's player Lin Dan.
This was the opinion given by former national singles player, Ong Ewe Hock, who said Chong Wei had taken the wrong steps in efforts to maintain his status as the world number one player.
He said, demands for Lee to always play in high level tournaments at the age of 32 is among the factors why he needed consistent treatment to recover from multiple injuries.
Ewe Hock also said that he and other former players are fully supporting Lee.
In fact, he wants the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to investigate in detail Lee’s case before sentencing him.
Ewe Hock looks at the incident as something that will lead to a loss to the badminton world.
