Wales-based Cardiff City Football Club (CCFC) has announced a special one-month training offer for four young footballers from Kedah.
The announcement of the offer, for two under-21 players and two under-18 players, was made by CCFC CEO Ken Choo at a media conference at Cardiff City Stadium in Cardiff on Friday.
Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhkriz Mahathir, who is also the president of the Kedah Football Association (KFA), was present at the media conference.
Mukhriz, in a statement, thanked the management of CCFC for what he described as a golden opportunity.
He expressed the hope that the four players, who would be sent for training in Cardiff in early January, would be exposed to the best training discipline and system.
"It will further boost their quality of play with the Youth Cup and President's Cup later," he said.
CCFC is owned by Malaysian businessman Tan Sri Vincent Tan.
