Galven and Nur Durriyah win 2015 DRB-Hicom TSM Golf Challenge

The 16-year-old Galven, carded a one-under 71 for a four-day total score of four-under 284 to win the title.

For his feat, Galven received a scholarship of RM40,000 and the Championship trophy from TSM Golf Foundation adviser, Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Muhammed.

"I am so happy to win this title for the second consecutive year. My mistake on the second day made me more determined to win today," he told reporters at Glenmarie Golf & Country Club, here.

Galven admitted that he struggled in his last three holes when his mind was distracted by thoughts of defending his title.

He started off his game on 34 with two birdies in his first-nine and added another birdie on the par-five 11th hole but bogeyed the last two holes.

Muhamad Afif Mohd Razif of University Utara Malaysia (UUM) carded a four-over 76 today to end the tournament with an even par 288 score to emerge runner-up while Johor's Amir Nazrin Jailani settled in third place with 290.

In the girls category, Terengganu's Nur Durriyah Damian finally managed to end her long wait to win the TSM Golf Challenge with a total score of one-under 287 over the four days.

"It was a great achievement for me. For the last two years, I only managed to finish as runner-up," said the 21-year-old from Kuala Terengganu.

During the final round, Nur Durriyah managed to shoot two birdies in her first-nine and added another three birdies against a lone bogey in her second-nine for a two-under 70 score.

For her win, she received a scholarship of RM30,000 and the championship trophy while Selangor's Natasha Andrea Oon and Siti Zulaikhaa Shaari settled in second and third places with scores of 295 and 304, respectively.
