Germany's Klose injury doubt for France clash
Germany striker Miroslav Klose is an injury doubt for Wednesday's international friendly against France in Paris after injuring his knee playing for his Italian club Lazio.
The 34-year-old, who is just one short of equalling Gerd Mueller's 38-year-old record of 68 goals scored in the Germany shirt, injured his right-knee in his side's 3-2 Serie A defeat at Genoa on Sunday.
On Monday, he flew to Munich to see German team doctor Hans-Wilhelm Mueller-Wohlfahrt before a decision is made whether he joins the squad for the game at Paris' Stade de France.
Germany coach Joachim Loew is already without vice-captain Bastian Schweinsteiger, who has an ankle injury, while Dortmund pair Ilkay Gundogan and Marcel Schmelzer are both carrying knocks.
