Harimau Muda A registered the biggest win of their Australian Tour by whipping Queensland Sports Academy (QSA) Under-18 squad, 7-0 at the Carrara Sports Complex, Queensland, Australia on Tuesday.
The Harimau Muda side had earlier beaten two Australia Premier League (APL) sides, namely Palm Beach Sharks 5-1 and Brisbane Lions SC 2-1 before losing 1-2 to Brisbane Olympics in their third outing.
In the match against QSA, coach Ong Kim Swee's boys had taken a 3-0 lead by half time through a brace from Rozaimi Abdul Rahman (22nd and 43rd) and Ferris Danial Mat Nasir (40th min).
At the start of the second half, the National Under-23 squad continued from where they had left to add another four goals through S. Sivanesan (52nd), A. Thamil Arasu (75th min penalty) and a brace by Izzaq Faris Ramlan (64th and 88th).
Kim Swee in his Twitter message said Queensland director of coaching told him that there was a last minute change in the opponent because they were initially scheduled to play 2010/2011 Australia League champion (A-League), Brisbane Roar.
"We were shocked when informed just before the start of the match that we will not be playing Brisbane Roar. However, the director said he would send an official apology to the Football Association of Malaysia for the inconvenience caused," he said.
