Ivory Coast complete their Africa Cup of Nations group phase on Wednesday (January 30th), playing Algeria at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.

With Ivory Coast having already secured first place in Group D on the back of two wins and Algeria unable to advance to the last eight, there is little riding on the game.

However, at Tuesday's press conference reserve goalkeeper Daniel Yeboah said Algeria "remains a great nation in African football" and promised the Ivory Coast will "fight on the pitch and we'll play like we usually play."

'Les Elephants' have only been crowned African champions once before - in 1992 - despite having one of the strongest squads in recent editions of the competition.

They reached the final in two of the last four tournaments, but were beaten in penalty shoot-outs on both occasions - to Egypt in 2006 and Zambia in 2012.

Coach Sabri Lamouchi has yet to decide if he will restore Didier Drogba to the starting line-up after the captain started the 3-0 win over Tunisia on the substitutes's bench.

Drogba agreed a move from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua to Galatasaray in Turkey - where he will join fellow newcomer Wesley Sneijder - on Monday (January 28th).

Lamouchi said it was good that Drogba will have another chance to play in the Champions League, which the 34-year-old won with Chelsea last season.
