Rising Malaysian star Jihin 'Shadow Cat' Radzuan (4-0) is scheduled to face the Philippines’ Gina 'Conviction' Iniong (7-4) at ONE: Clash Of Legends in Bangkok, Thailand.
The event, which is set for the Impact Arena on Saturday, 16 February, will be the Ultimate MMA Academy product’s first encounter outside Malaysia. Also, Iniong is quite arguably her toughest opponent to date.
Her 28-year-old Team Lakay adversary brings a very experienced resume to the global stage, as well as a versatile skill set fine-tuned by several World Champions who she trains with at the Baguio City gym.
Iniong, however, should be concerned by what Jihin has showcased during her perfect debut year in The Home Of Martial Arts last year.
The Johorean martial artist has displayed a perfect execution of the game, recording huge wins against India’s Puja Tomar, Indonesia’s Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol, and, most recently, Jenny Huang at ONE: Destiny Of Champions.
She rarely struggled in any of the three matches and has been one of the hottest rising stars out of ONE Championship.
Although she named Jomary Torres as an ideal opponent, Jihin will instead set her sights on extending her perfect record in the Thai capital.
Six other explosive bouts have been announced for the card.
In addition to the main event for the ONE Super Series Muay Thai Bantamweight World Championship, there will be a slew of other Muay Thai and mixed martial arts bouts.
For instance, Emilio Urrutia returns to face Japan’s Yoshiki Nakahara in a featherweight mixed martial arts contest. Meanwhile, undefeated Indonesian Elipitua Siregar will attempt to maintain his streak against Liu Peng Shuai in a strawweight battle.
Below is the lineup for ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS thus far. More bout announcements will be unveiled in the days to come.
