When ONE Championship heads to Tokyo, Japan on October 13 to commemorate its 100th blockbuster show, it will be the biggest event in martial arts history.
Fans will witness two stacked cards – ONE: CENTURY PART I and PART II – that feature four World Title bouts, three World Grand Prix Championship Finals, and four World Champion versus World Champion matches.
As fans embrace for this highly anticipated extravaganza, many ONE Championship athletes are also ready for the excitement.
One of them is Malaysia’s 'Jungle Cat' Muhammad Aiman. He is still caught up in the heady buzz in the lead-up to the monumental milestone in martial arts.
“I didn’t expect ONE was going to put together such a huge event,” the Bali MMA athlete said. “Can you imagine all those blockbuster bouts in one day?”
“Even though I won’t be getting in the ring on the night, I’m still super excited and just so proud that I’m a part of the ONE Championship stable. It really is a historic night for the martial arts community.”
Excitement aside, the MIMMA Featherweight Champion has other reasons that the spectacle at the Ryogoku Kokugikan is so significant to him.
“Both my good friends – Agilan Thani, and Xiong Jing Nan – will be competing. I can’t wait to watch those bouts. I’m confident that my buddies will emerge victorious.”
Thani faces Yushin Okami in a three-round welterweight battle and Xiong drops a weight class to challenge Angela Lee for her ONE Atomweight World Title.
Apart from these mouth-watering clashes, fans also have the highly anticipated ONE Lightweight and Flyweight World Grand Prix Championship Finals to look forward.
Eddie 'The Underground King' Alvarez battles Saygid Guseyn “Dagi” Arslanaliev in the lightweight finale, and Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson takes on Danny “The King” Kingad in the flyweight finale.
As Aiman puts it, both World Grand Prix Championship Finals are guaranteed to leave the millions watching on the edge of their seats.
“I don’t dare predict what the outcome will be for those bouts, but if there’s one thing I know, we’re going to see some crazy, unpredictable clashes," the Negeri Sembilan native shared.
ONE: CENTURY goes down on 13 October at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.
