News reports claiming Kelantan President Cup players were not paid their wages for two months is inaccurate said the Kelantan Football Association (KAFA).

KAFA secretary-general Datuk Ismail Md Noor said the association only owed players' salary for the month of June and not for May as well as claimed by some.

"The information is incorrect, only the June salary is still outstanding...it will be paid soon. We have paid players for the month of May," he said when contacted by Bernama today.

Local dailies today reported that KAFA had not paid players their salaries for two months and as a result the players had not turned up for training.

Ismail said he was not aware of the real reason for many players to not turn up for training as alleged by some irresponsible parties.

"I learnt most players did not attend the training session for only one day (Monday) but joined the training session yesterday. I have instructed the team manager to send a report on why players did not attend training on Monday," he said.
