The Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) exco today unanimously rejected president Tan Sri Annuar Musa's intention to resign from the post of president.
KAFA deputy Datuk Seri Afandi Hamzah said during the KAFA exco meeting today, Annuar's submission of a letter to resign from the post of president was rejected unanimously because the association need his services.
"His (Annuar's term as KAFA President) ends in 2018, therefore we still need his services to lead KAFA. We are appealing to him to stay on at least until his term ends," he told reporters after chairing the exco meeting here today.
Annuar who is also the Ketereh Member of Parliament had on Nov 8, submitted his resignation letter to KAFA.
Afandi said the association has yet to find a candidate who can replace Annuar.
"He (Annuar) has proven himself as an able leader by transforming KAFA and football in Kelantan. The team has reached excellent results under his leadership since 2008," he said. - BERNAMA
