SEEMS like the newly-appointed Kedah Football Association (KFA) president, Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah, will be facing a tough time ahead.
Not only he has to ensure the Kedah football team maintain its performance, but most importantly, he needs to capture the hearts of the fans, who have played a major role in the team's rise to glory these past few years.
Based on the comments on KFA's offical Facebook page, things aren't looking so good for the Kedah Menteri Besar.
Many were skeptical about his ability to lead the team.
Fans also hoped that the new president would not mix the sport with politics.
They believe only love and passion can help elevate the team to a higher level.
Yesterday, the Kedah football fans, through their Facebook page, Ultras Kedah 2009, had openly voiced their rejection towards the appointment of Ahmad Bashah.
The group, also known as UK09, told Ahmad Bashah and his team to figure out why they had rejected the appointment.
Ahmad bashah's appointment was announced Thursday by the KFA after the resignation of former Kedah Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, who held the presidential post for almost two years.
Traditionally, the post will be automatically filled by anyone appointed as the state's Menteri Besar.
