Kedah players to receive RM20,000 as reward for FA Cup win before Ramadan

A RM20,000 reward promised to each Kedah player for winning the FA Cup yesterday will be paid before Ramadan, said Kedah Football Association (KFA) president Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah.

The date to celebrate Kedah's victory and the presentation of the incentive would be announced soon.

"God willing, we are planning to hold the ceremony to celebrate the victory with the Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah before the start of the fasting month, at Istana Anak Bukit.

"We are still considering a suitable date and want the celebration and disbursement of the reward," he told reporters while welcoming the Kedah squad at the Sultan Abdul Halim Airport here, today.

Kedah won the FA Cup for the fourth time after beating Pahang 3-2 in a dramatic final at the Shah Alam Stadium last night.
