The winning goal by Kelantan came in the dying minutes of the match when Zairul Fitree Ishak fired home a rebounder from a free kick taken by Badhri.
Meanwhile, in the other Super League match played at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi, Negeri Sembilan, Armed Forces (ATM), who had won the Sultan Ahmad Shah Cup, lost 1-0 to last season's runners-up Lions XII.
