Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar would explain the matter of the pendrive concerning the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) on Friday.
He said he would forward the matter to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) if there was evidence of corruption.
"The documents contain a lot of football technical issues, not just alleged corruption.
"I'm still trying to find proof of corruption to ensure that documents handed to the MACC are relevant," Khairy told reporters after opening the UMNO Bandar Tun Razak division delegates meeting here today.
Before this, former FAM committee chairman Datuk Taufik Razak had said Khairy needed to forward the matter to the MACC as the minister has no jurisdiction over investigation.
"Maybe those like Taufik had misunderstood. He thought the documents only contained corruption issues, but actually there's a lot on technical matters.
"I need to scrutinise and see what's relevant to football and what concerns corruption.
"If I do find anything on corruption, for sure I will forward it to the MACC," said Khairy.
Last Friday, Khairy had received the pendrive from the owner of Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) football club, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who claimed that he had a lot of sensitive information concerning FAM's dealings.
